Unless it can only be found AFTER it's put in (setup)? I'd have to first run 'setup' into a separate folder that wouldn't try and put it ON my machine? I have a full install 98 CD and opened it (explore) but can't find anything on it that says system, that would have the screensaver files.

I've had WINXP for 2 1/2 years and just realized it doesn't have ALL the same screensavers as 98 had.įrom searches, some thought the old WIN98 instal CD could be used, like find the screensaver folder and put them in the XP one (System in 98 and System32 in XP or the other way around) I was telling someone about the screensaver that came with WIN98, I think it's called 'Science' (or 'Weird Science'?) It used whatever was on the desktop, and put effects on it, like falling into a hole (vortex) or a ball under the screen moving around distorting the looks. I've been looking this up and found some posts in the archives.
